Introducing Lola

By September 21, 2020 Uncategorized, Wellbeing

Lola joined Our Lady’s Surrey Hills back in term one, quickly becoming one of the most loved members of the school community!

With a very important role as Chief Comfort Officer (aka therapy dog), Lola has been taking her training extremely seriously… with a touch of puppy mischief along the way!

When Lola is not helping out at school, she loves to play, especially in the leaves! Her favourite part of the day is absolutely going for a walk. She is very gentle and kind and certainly knows how to make friends in the park as Lola is also lots of fun!

Lola is looking forward to a few weeks off before term four begins and her role once again resumes. Lola will have a special role in helping the students settle back into face to face learning after a term at home. As an amazing asset to the schools’ Wellbeing Program, Lola’s role sees her involved in a variety of activities, including:

  • Reading buddy
  • Social skills development
  • Writing buddy
  • Sickbay assistant
  • Meditation buddy
  • Class meetings
  • Daily welcoming committee
  • Easing anxiety.

During the holidays, Lola will be kicking her paws up with best friend, Mr. Jones (who is also a Labradoodle) while at Mrs. Engellener’s house.
