Educating the Whole Child

By May 6, 2020 Uncategorized

At Our Lady’s Surrey Hills, we are proud of our unwavering focus on ‘the whole child’.

We strive to ensure each and every child is respected as an individual. We thrive on creating opportunities, providing safe, stimulating and secure learning environments that encourage learning.

At OLPS, we teach our students to think both critically and creatively, understand the importance of communication and build strong foundations in reading, writing, maths as well as other core subjects such as physical education, visual and performing arts.

The wellbeing of students at Our Lady’s Primary School incorporates all aspects of school life. We foster a school spirit that reflects loyalty, respect, love and forgiveness. Student resilience and wellbeing are essential for both academic and social development. This is optimised by the provision of safe, supportive and respectful learning environments.

Educating the whole child means more than just maths and English. It means working with the child to help them get the most out of their education in a way that supports, encourages and prepares them for life beyond the classroom
