Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady’s Community,
I hope you have all enjoyed a break from school routines over the past two weeks and managed to recharge the batteries during this chilly Melbourne winter. As you are aware, I am on Long Service Leave this week as I celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary. I am very grateful to Ms Clare Hicks for being responsible for the school in my absence. This term we welcome Ms Emily Nicholson to Our Lady’s. Emily will be teaching Year 3 /4U for the remainder of the year. Many of you would have met Emily during our parent/ teacher interviews in June. If not, please take the opportunity to introduce yourself to her at your earliest convenience.
This week we also welcome Miss Hannah Purser who will be completing her work experience with us. It is great to have you at Our Lady’s.
For the next 8 weeks George Li will join the students in Year 5/ 6H. George is an international student from China and we are very excited about George joining our learning community. I am sure we will learn so much from one another. Thank you to Mr Hawke and the students from Year 5 and 6.
The start of every school term offers all of us the opportunity to start afresh, with a renewed enthusiasm and a focus on achieving our personal and learning goals. It is my wish that our students flourish under our guidance and care. I hope you too, feel supported by us in your role as parents and carers. Working together with the children as the centre of all our decision making – we can certainly achieve great things.
