Develop a passion for learning. If you do,
you will never cease to grow
At Our Lady’s Primary School we believe in supporting parents through nurturing each child’s faith journey.
Parents are seen as the prime educators of their children in faith. Our school partners with the parents to support this very important role. Religious Education is based on the catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne program “To Know, Worship and Love. Scripture, liturgies and Masses are celebrated. Parents, particularly in Foundation Year, Year 1 and 2, sometimes come and join the class in their morning prayer. Parents are very welcome to join in and pray with the class. Family prayer is also encouraged particularly at meal and bedtimes.
Students are prepared for the Sacraments with the support of the Parish Priest. Reconciliation is received in Year 3 and Eucharist (First Communion) in Year 4. The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered to Grades 5 and 6 children bi-annually. Parents, as well as teachers, play a very important part in sacramental preparation.

A PROUD TRADITION OF CARE AND ACHIEVEMENT
“Our Lady’s Primary School recognises the importance of preparing students for a world beyond the classroom. We are constantly challenging our young minds to take learning risks and develop positive growth mindsets.”
